PostSubject: How to put blackops videos from your file share to youtube   Sat Dec 25, 2010 2:53 pm

So the news is FINALLY out! You will be able to link up your CoD:HQ account to YouTube! More information inside!

Treyarch has added a new [Theater beta] button to the navigation bar on the official CallOfDuty.com/theater website. You can now sign up and even though it's very buggy right now (probably due to the crazy amount of views), you should be able to link up your account to YouTube!

"Welcome to My Theater, your personal media center for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Upload video clips and screenshots from your in-game matches. Download screenshots to your personal desktop, and watch videos in My Theater or on YouTube."

    Linking your profile

The beta is currently limited to 30 seconds segments only, but that may change in the future. It is also advised to link up your account to YouTube as clips will not stay on the Treyarch servers indefinitely.
To do so, jump on to theater.callofduty.com and login with your CoD:HQ profile (or create one if you haven't already). Click the [link] button and select your system (X360, PS3, PC). For X360. When you've chosen X360 (which I did) you'll be redirected to Xbox.com to authenticate. When that's done, you'll be brought over to the screen shown on the right side of this page.

For those that are having trouble linking up the account, these descriptions are listed:

    GET STARTED

In Call of Duty: Black Ops, open MULTIPLAYER > XBOX LIVE / PSN > THEATER.
Open MY RECENT GAMES to access files of your in-game matches.
Select the film from which you would like to record a video clip segement or capture a screenshot and choose SELECT FOR PLAYBACK

    SCREENSHOTS

After you have found an image you would like to capture, select the SCREENSHOT option.
SAVE the screenshot and create the TITLE, DESCRIPTION, and TAG.
Select a slot in MY FILE SHARE to save the screenshot.
The screenshot will immeidately transfer to 1 of the 6 slots in MY THEATER in www.callofduty.com.
View the screenshots directly from MY THEATER, or DOWNLOAD them directly to your personal desktop.
NOTE: Your 6 most recent screenshots will appear in MY THEATER. After you have filled the 6 slots, a new screenshot will automatically replace the oldest screenshot.

NOTE: We recommend that you DOWNLOAD your favorite screenshots to your computer before capturing new images in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

    VIDEO CLIPS

Find a segment you would like to capture, and select the RECORD option.
Once you have reached the end of your segment, select RECORD again to stop.
NOTE: Segments can be no longer than 30 seconds.
Select NAME SEGMENT > UPLOAD CLIP, then create the TITLE, DESCRIPTION, and TAG for the video clip
Select a slot in MY FILE SHARE to save the video clip.
Go to MY FILE SHARE and select the video clip.
Choose the SELECT FOR PLAYBACK option. That video clip will now be available to render.
From the Call of Duty: Black Ops THEATER, select RENDER CLIP.
After the video clip plays through, it will be uploaded to MY THEATER.
Watch the video clip in My Theater or on YouTube.
NOTE: Your 6 most recent screenshots will appear in MY THEATER. After you have filled the 6 slots, a new screenshot will automatically replace the oldest screenshot.

NOTE: NOTE: We recommend that you DOWNLOAD your favorite screenshots to your computer before capturing new images in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

NOTE: We recommend that you link your YouTube account. If you do not, your video will not be saved and may be deleted over time.

All-in-all it's pretty much what we all hoped it would be! But let's hope longer segments will be supported shortly...
